As long as there are perks, power ups or something to be gained from levelling, you'll get people wanting to abuse the system. I take much more satisfaction in levelling through gameplay. Maybe its something about being 37 and a gamer insted of some pre-pubescent child as the guy who sent you the voicemail was.
